After driving the Satellite for thousands of miles I replaced the 440 with my original 360 from my first Charger after I spun a main bearing at a Calder Park Drag meet. Unfortunately it only lasted a few weeks as the oil pump mounting bolts came loose and it also died. The crank is now my letterbox stand. I borrowed a 318 from my mate Peter and drove it to Adelaide for a Chrysler show. I had fitted a Victor Junior Manifold on the stock 318 and when cruising at the speed limit you could see the fuel gauge falling but if I upped the speed to 80 MPH (130 kph) it was much happier.
At the Sunday Show I again got a second place but in Street Plymouth this time.
Soon after I got back from the show I bought a complete and running 400 and 727 from API Jap Imports came with 12 months warranty and cost me $500.00 Turns out it was out of a motor home as it had a right hand water pump outlet which I still have as it means I can run a small block radiator with matching hoses.
